UCS1101 – Critical Reflection

 Module Reflection At the start of the module, one of my main goals was to be able to speak confidently and not shutter as it has been bothering me for so long. I was able to work on how I can speak confidently in class when Professor Brad will encourage us to read out paragraphs during class. I was at first quite shy and not able to speak confidently but over the module, I felt more confident even if I read the paragraphs wrong.  When my classmates were being called to read paragraphs, I would often read to myself so that I can practice reading out and gain more self-confidence if I was called to read next. I found out that the only way to improve this is to practice reading out loud consistently. I used Singlish during the presentation due to my habit of using Singlish a lot when talking to my friends and family. This results in my presentation not being credible and sounding unprofessional. I am Jethro and I graduated from Nanyang polytechnic with a diploma in mechatronics engineering.   The passion started when I started playing with Legos at a young age. It allowed me to create anything that I set my mind to, and it has led me to many creations that I would proud of. I wanted to join the robotics club when I was in primary school, but my sisters forced me to join the school’s volleyball team. It was great that I joined as I fell in love with the sport. My reaction for the paragraph on communication

I will say that not being able to communicate well is very big problem. On a day to day basis, millions of dollars are being transacted through networking and businesses and the only way that you will make more clients or business is if you are able to present yourself with clear communication. Misleading information can be presented if the presenter is not communicating well to the audience. Also, we should always think and plan what to say before saying it as it will help us to build our thoughts and not smoke whatever we want.
